What are your COVID precautions?
We work closely with the Ministry of Education and our host schools and sites to ensure everyone’s safety. For our current guidelines, please see here - these are updated as needed and we will let you know if there are any really big changes. If there are specific precautions that apply to your specific MindPlus school or site, your child’s MindPlus teacher will let you know.
What do we do if my child gets COVID or is isolating because of COVID?
If your child is still feeling well, we would love to have them join us online! Please let their MindPlus teacher know and we will get this set up. Otherwise, please keep them home to rest and recover and let us know via Hero that they are going to be away from MindPlus.
What happens when a MindPlus teacher gets COVID or is isolating because of COVID?
If your child’s MindPlus teacher is isolating due to COVID exposure, but is well, we will move the class online via our MindPlus Learning Platform. You will be notified via Hero, and often also with a follow up text or phone call to confirm.
If your child’s MindPlus is unwell (COVID or otherwise unwell), we will source a reliever for the MindPlus class. In the rare event that we cannot find a reliever, we will either move the class online for the day OR cancel the class. Again, we will keep you informed via Hero and follow up with a text or phone call.
