About Student Absences & Departures

My child is going to be away from MindPlus - what do I do?

You can let us know about absences in Hero. Just click on the absence tab and follow the instructions. 

 

What happens if my child gets COVID or is isolating because of COVID?

If your child is still feeling well, we would love to have them join us online! Please let their MindPlus teacher know and we will get this set up. Otherwise, please keep them home to rest and recover and let us know via Hero that they are going to be away from MindPlus. 

Do I get a refund for absences?

NZCGE is a not-for-profit organisation, but we do need to be financially viable. So that we can meet our financial commitments, we cannot give a refund if your child is away from MindPlus, for whatever reason.  In the rare event that we cannot hold a MindPlus class, we will arrange either a credit or refund for you.

 

My child wants to leave MindPlus. What do I do?

Please talk first to your child’s MindPlus teacher. They can then help you with the process from there. Also check out our Parent Guides here
