It's been exciting to welcome new and returning students to MindPlus over the last couple of weeks, despite some delays in Auckland. We know that your child is going to have a great year of learning with like-minds.
What’s Happening in Term One?
Our teachers will soon be sharing their plans for your child’s class’s learning and exploration across our curriculum areas this coming term. Keep an eye out for these on Hero!
Over the next few weeks, each of our units will have a Welcome Session for parents and Contributing School Teachers to come and meet each other, meet your MindPlus teacher and get to know each other a little bit.
This Welcome Session is a great opportunity to connect with other MindPlus families and have a chat. Keep in mind though that it's not the best time to talk to your MindPlus teacher individually about your child. If you’d like to do that, please ask your child’s teacher for a good time to do so.
Your teacher will be posting the details of your unit’s Welcome Session on Hero soon. If you can't make it to the Welcome session at your local MindPlus unit, feel free to come along to an online session on Wednesday 8 March, 7.30pm. No RSVP needed - just login here.
Hero is our one-stop shop for communicating with you, and you with us. You can let us know if your child is going to be away, you can see a weekly class update as well as a termly individual update (the “Learner Profile”) and you can view and pay your invoice.
It’s easy to download Hero onto to your phone or laptop so it’s quick to access when you need it. Use your app store of choice and look for “Hero By Linc-Ed”.
Super simple instructions for how to use Hero and how to do things like register an absence are in our online Parent Guides which you can access here.
